   Land at Leh’s Kushok Bakula Rimpochee Airport, where our representative meets you and transfers you to your hotel. The rest of the day is kept free for complete rest — vital to acclimatise to the high altitude. In the evening, if you feel up to it, take a gentle stroll through Leh Main Market. Overnight in Leh.

   After breakfast, explore Leh and its surroundings — the hilltop Shanti Stupa, the nine-storey Leh Palace, and the moving Hall of Fame war memorial. Continue to the Sangam (the confluence of the Indus and Zanskar rivers), the curious Magnetic Hill, the revered Gurudwara Pathar Sahib, and Spituk Monastery. Overnight in Leh.

   Drive to the Nubra Valley over Khardung La (approx. 18,380 ft), one of the world’s highest motorable passes. Descend into Nubra to visit Diskit Monastery with its towering Maitreya Buddha, then reach Hunder’s white sand dunes. A double-hump Bactrian camel safari is available (on own cost). Overnight in Nubra.
